Singapore NRF
Singapore National Research Foundation
The National Research Foundation, Singapore (NRF) is a department within the Prime Minister’s Office responsible for setting Singapore’s national direction for research, innovation, and enterprise. NRF develops national R&D strategies, funds strategic research initiatives, supports research talent and capabilities, and promotes collaboration among universities, government, and industry to strengthen Singapore’s science and technology ecosystem.
The MIT Transit Lab participates in Mens, Manus and Machina (M3S), an interdisciplinary research program at the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART) supported by Singapore’s National Research Foundation. The collaboration examines how artificial intelligence and emerging technologies can empower people, institutions, and cities, with research spanning human–AI collaboration, workforce transformation, urban systems, sustainable technology, and the social impacts of AI.
